NIE Teacher Advisory Board The News Tribune's Newspapers in Education Teacher Advisory Board, cosists of teachers in South Sound School Districts who use The News Tribune in their classroom. This board assists the NIE program in researching and ordering appropriate NIE teacher curriculum, nad teaching sessions at any NIE sponsored workshops. The NIE Teacher Advisory Board continues to look at ways The News Tribune can be an important educational tool to the teachers and students throughout the South Sound.

Current Board members are: Kay Hadfield, Lincoln High School - Tacoma School District; Maryann Thoma, Beachwood Elementary School - Clover Park School District; Thomas Thompson, Custer Elementary School - Clover Park School District; Holly Winter, Evergreen Elementary School - Bethel School District.
